All sessions are available online and in person in my room providing you are well and have no symptoms of cold or flu like conditions.
All new clients or new supervisee’s will have their first appointment online and for all current clients and current supervisee’s they can be online or in person across:
- individual therapy and supervision sessions – 1 hour
- double sessions including assessment – 2 hours
- intensive sessions – 3 plus hours
- group supervision sessions
This has been discussed with some clients and any new clients or new supervisee’s we will need to firstly explore through assessment how to most effectively work together to bring about the healing and change you are seeking.
It is important that we continue to stay connected – while some prefer to continue to physically distance for safety we need to stay emotional connected. So voice, video sessions are important rather than email or text. Hearing another’s voice and seeing their face assists us to connect and provides cues of safety.
Working with me via ZOOM
My normal cancellation policy remains in place – 1 full working days’ notice is required for each 1 hour booked. Be set up and ready in advance as we will be using technology, and it is not always reliable – and may be challenged with increased usage with virtual meetings increasing. It is best to be on your phone, computer or laptop some time in advance to resolve any of your own technical difficulties and to log in to Zoom.
Types of Online Therapy and Phone Therapy Provided
Zoom can be used with either video, audio only (video conferencing with sound only), or with Zoom LIVE instant, encrypted chat.
Technical Difficulties:
As you are my counselling client, I cannot be expected to resolve your computerised technical problems. Please ensure you resolve your technical issues for yourself. If ZOOM fails for some reason, we can use FaceTime, or phone calls.
Why I Use Zoom:
Skype does not technically adhere to Australian or International Privacy laws as it can be more easily hacked, ZOOM is encrypted and adhere those laws. Your privacy is very important to me. I will send you information, meeting number and your contract prior to our session together, The meeting number will be always the same, so after the first time just login to the meeting at the time of our session.
On Line or Telephone Appointments
Please find a private, safe place where you won’t be disturbed or distracted. I will be online at the allocated time so we can start on time. I will be working either in my room or private space with the door closed so that your own safety, confidentiality and privacy is protected.
Ensure you are warm – cool enough and have something to drink and you are comfortable physically. Have a fixed screen, moving with a screen can be very distressing for our nervous system.
